CCNB's Musquash MPA Campaign received funding
under the Natural Legacy 2000 program, a nation-wide initiative to conserve
wildlife and habitats on private and public lands. We gratefully acknowledge the
support of World Wildlife Fund and the Government of Canada's Millennium
Partnership Program which funds Legacy 2000.
In addition, the EJLB Foundation provided core
support for the campaign for three consecutive years (1998-2001). The New
Brunswick Environmental Trust Fund provides important supplementary campaign
funds. In 2000, the W. Garfield Weston Foundation made it possible for CCNB to
commission the building of a 4-metre skiff and motors which has made the job of
campaign coordinator David Thompson much easier, since he now has ready access
to the estuary. In 2001-2002, the Nature Conservancy of Canada is also
supporting the campaign.
Without this depth of support, the Musquash MPA
Campaign would not be possible. Thank you.
